Flight Period:  May - October

Observations:  The first record of this species in Britain was in October 2001 on the Isles of Scilly. The species has been found in several places around southern Europe, and a number have been taken on the Canary Islands, also with several recent, scattered records in southern and eastern vice counties within the UK. The moth is known from the far East and Australia, where the larval foodplants are thought to be Palms and Carex species. The first VC32 record on 23rd May 2026 came at a time of very warm weather with winds from the south (and Saharan dust deposition), and was associated with the appearance of other migrant moth species in the area.
