Observations: Larvae feed within leaf litter on withered and decaying leaves, possibly lichens. Associated with Beech woodland in its native New Zealand, this species is one of several Antipodean imports to the British list, being first recorded in the UK in 2012. Adults are attracted to light. Recorded nearby in Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire, but not yet widespread in the UK.
